She has held this position since 2011. Dianne is a retired Educational Specialist from Los Angeles Unified School District. She holds two Master’s degrees one in Administration & Educational Leadership and Special Education. Dianne is known for her expertise, knowledge and skills for working with difficult students. She is dedicated to improving the quality of public education and community service. She has provided training to new teachers in the areas of Autism Learning Handicapped and foster care youth. Dianne has a background developing partnerships and programs while completing her doctoral work at U.C.L.A and California State University. She is very passionate about her community and strives to ensure success among African American Youth.
Doris received a full Fellowship to Claremont University Graduate School where she majored in Early Education or Child Development and received her Ph.D. Dr Sims was an Associate Professor at California State University, Los Angeles and taught at other colleges and universities for over 40 years in the field of Child Development and Family Relations. Dr. Sims founded several schools in the Los Angeles area. As a consultant, Doris taught parenting classes to foster and adoptive parents. She authored four children’s books with accompanying teacher’s guides about African American inventors, presented at schools, colleges, churches, and conferences nationally and internationally. Her passion is to assist in the education of the African American child and strengthening the black family. Doris is the mother of an adopted male.
Joelle holds a Master’s in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Michigan State University. Joelle is a mother, wife, and Utility Buyer. Mrs. Phillips has spent most of her professional career as a construction professional working primarily on public works projects. In her spare time, Mrs. Phillips enjoys writing plays for children, assisting local children in need, drawing, and learning to hone her metal sculpting techniques.
Dedra received a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Los Angeles in the field of Realtor and Relationship Manager for Residential Lending. She was an Assistant District Manager for Bank of America and Manager of several other financial institutions. She is passionate about the well-being of others and she donates her time with an organization to help find a cure for Neuroblastoma with Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles as well as volunteering with Project Special Friends through USC.
K-Rahn is an author, curriculum developer and training consultant. He is the CEO of Inner Sun Inc., an edutainment company that supports the personal development of youth and young adults and the professional development of educators, service providers, leaders and other corporate staff. K-Rahn has an ability to facilitate conversations on complex and uncomfortable topics. He is the author of Live Above the Hype Life Skills Curriculum, Beyond The Crack Generation: Surviving a Trauma Organized Culture, and his most recent book Aligning Yourself With the Success You Desire: 13 Keys to Unlock Your Personal Greatness.
